Steve is a third-generation food industry and horticultural specialist who has worked in all aspects of food businesses from genetics and farming through to domestic and international market development. He is also an experienced CEO/Managing Director of large businesses.

Steve is currently a Director and CEO of Sundrop Farms, which develops, owns and operates protected intensive cropping businesses using world class sustainable innovation such as desalinated sea water, and concentrated solar power to replace conventional thinking. He has been with the business since 2016.

Prior to Sundrop, Steve has managed and served as a chair and director for many multinational food businesses including field and tree crops, a French fries' producers, and many other crops. He has also been recognised and awarded for his commercial acumen and work in over 35 countries within the retail, premium foodservice, royal palace, airline catering and armed services sectors. A current director of the Adelaide Central Market Authority which is widely regarded as one of the world’s leading retail fresh food markets, Duxton Bees and The University of Adelaide Mechanical Engineering School.

Steve is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and holds a Bachelor of Commerce with a double major in management and marketing. He is also the former Chair of the SA Premiers Food Council and has served on tens of boards across business, industry associations, and government.
